(Indorsed:) Muster-roll of Company D of the 4th Regiment of Arkansas Mounted Infantry Volunteers, from the 1st day of Jan’y, to the 2nd day of June.
Note.- These men were enlisted and were immediately placed on active duty, in which they continued until the date of their disbandment at DuVall’s Bluff, Ark., June 2nd, 1864, by orders from Dept. Hd. Qrs. 7th Corps, Little Rock. They were never regularly mustered or paid, only sworn in and placed on duty.
I certify, on honor, that this muster-roll is made out in the manner required by the printed notes; that it exhibits the true state of Captain Moses Fords Company (–) of the 4th (Fourth) Regiment Ark. Mtd. Inf. For the period herein mentioned; that the “remarks” set opposite the name of each officer and soldier are accurate and just; and that the
“recapulation” exhibits in every particular, the true state of the company, as required by Regulations and Rules and Articles of War.
Station: Duvall’s Bluff, Ark.
Date: June 2nd, 1864
M. Ford, Commanding the Company
* Note: Rosters were transcribed from two separate sources. Some name spellings varied. The Arkansas Union Soldiers Pension Application Index had even different spelling for a few individuals. I made spelling changes only when reasonably certain, with accuracy paramount. In a few cases, I listed more than one variation in spelling.
